New 'Rick And Morty' Clip Gets Eager Fans All Excited For Season 4

The clip is unusual... as usual

A new Rick And Morty promo clip has dropped and, surprise surprise, it ain't your average promo clip.

The clip gives no indication of when we can expect more episodes, or any information at all in fact. Rather, we get 15 seconds of the pair reimagined in a trippy predator and prey dynamic, accompanied by the ASMR-triggering whispers of their names.

So yeah, as mentioned - typically unusual stuff.

However, judging from the response on Twitter, it seems fans of the animated sci-fi sitcom just want to know when they're going to get their next fix:

The show, created by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon for Adult Swim back in 2013, has garnered a die-hard fanbase since it first aired.

The programme follows the adventures of mad scientist Rick, who drags his nervy grandson Morty through portals into different dimensions, much to the dismay of Morty's dad.

Now on paper, that sounds like the premise for a children's cartoon, but it is far from it... You have to watch it basically to understand.

All three seasons of the show are available to watch on Netflix in the UK, but judging from the reaction online, the comedy's loyal following have re-watched every episode four times and are eager for more.

Fortunately for them, more is exactly what they are going to get - a lot more in fact.

Earlier this year, it was confirmed the show had been commissioned for a further 70 episodes, though it is unclear how many series the episodes will be spread across.

It is also unclear just when exactly fans can expect to feast their eyes on the pair's latest bizarre escapade. Evidently, fans want to watch it right this second, but the creators have long since warned of a long wait.

Speaking to Detroit Cast earlier this year, writer and producer, Ryan Ridley, said: "I know how long this show takes to write, let alone animate. I'd be surprised if there was a fourth season on the air anytime sooner than 2019... late 2019."

So, come on guys - 2019 has barely even started. Let's all try and be a little bit more Amanda.
