The second season of Netflix hit You will be 'scarier' than the first, showrunner and co-creator Sera Gamble has said.

The creepy show had viewers hooked as they followed book shop manager Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley) and his murderous obsessed with Guinevere Beck (Elizabeth Lail).

In the second season, Joe moves to LA to try and start a new life, but it looks as though things are going to get even creepier.

Speaking to LADbible Gamble said: "At least one scene comes to mind that's gorier and scarier than anything we had in season one.

"Joe is new to Los Angeles fully intending to start over a new leaf and never being forced to do bad things again."

She also announced that next season's second episode contains her 'favourite shot' that she's ever worked on. So that's something to watch out for...

"You will know it when you see it," Gamble added. "Episode two of the season has my single favourite shot that I have been a part of in my entire career.

"My career is full of blood and gore and monsters. It's also beautifully shot and the director who shot the second episode lavished a lot of love. Joe is forced to do something he really doesn't want to do.

"Joe is always trying to be a good guy but yet somehow he's finding himself in these thriller, horror kind of situations. It's terrible for him but I think it's going to be so much fun for the audience."

Opening up about new character Love Quinn, who will be played by Victoria Pedretti from Haunting of Hill House, Gamble told us: "Love is very different from Beck. We were aware going into season two of the show, there was something very special about Beck the way that we told it in season one.

"We knew that it wouldn't be possible to repeat it as the audience is very much onto Joe now and will see through him. The way that Love enters his life is very different. His interest in her and his expectation is also very different. I think it will be fun and interesting."

Sounds good, eh? And if that's not enough for you, it looks like fan-favourite Doctor Nicky might be back, too.

"Another thing that might come into play," Gamble teased. "Doctor Nicky is in prison for a murder he committed. When Joe leaves his life in New York behind, he leaves behind a lot of stuff that could come back to haunt him."

The second season of You wrapped filming a few backs and is now in post-production - as yet, Netflix hasn't revealed a release date.
