Guy Ritchie has been working his magic on a new Nazi fighting film and fans have finally been given a release date to look forward to.

You can start marking your calendars to reserve a cinema date for later this year to watch the filmmaker's new project, The Ministry Of Ungentlemanly Warfare, which promises to be an action-packed journey through history.

The upcoming movie is inspired by recently declassified files from the British War Department as well as the 2014 book Churchill's Secret Warriors: The Explosive True Story of the Special Forces Desperadoes of WWII by Damien Lewis.

It takes viewers back to the trenches of World War Two, when Prime Minister Winston Churchill formed the first-ever special forces organisation in 1940 who ended up completely changing the course of the conflict.

The UK leader and a small group of military officials, including author Ian Fleming, bring together a rag tag group of rogues who have to reimagine everything they have learnt in the world of combat.

The release date of Ritchie's latest project has been revealed.

The top-secret squad take on the Nazis with completely unconventional and 'ungentlemanly' fighting techniques, which ultimately provided the blueprints on clandestine combat for the likes of the British SAS and modern Black Ops warfare.

The secret organisation's ballsy approach to battle ends up changing the course of the entire war, and the film has been billed as an 'outrageous true story'.

Stars including Henry Cavill, Eiza González, Henry Golding, Alex Pettyfer and Cary Elwes, will appear in The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare.

Cavill, best known for his role in Superman, will reportedly play 'the leader of the secret combat organisation'.

He previously worked alongside Ritchie on the 2015 spy thriller The Man from U.N.C.L.E., so the pair have some experience collaborating on projects with a secretive theme.

Henry Cavill will star in the Nazi fighting film.

Ritchie has directed and produced the highly anticipated film as well as co-writing the script alongside Paul Tamasy, Eric Johnson, and Arash Amel. He doesn't half have a lot of work cut out for him.

Fans of his iconic films are desperate to get a glimpse of a trailer for the war film, especially after it's scheduled release date was announced by Lionsgate on Tuesday (9 January).

It is due to be widely released in Spring this year, so there's only a bit longer to wait until you buy your cinema ticket.

To be specific, it is 19 April, 2024, so make sure you save the date.

Ritchie has also been putting the work in on his new Netflix series The Gentlemen, which is be a spin-off from the 2019 film of the same name, which starred the likes of Matthew McConaughey, Colin Farrell and Hugh Grant.

All eight episodes of the star-studded series are set to premiere on the streaming platform in 2024.
