You might miss out on the festival altogether if you don't take a few minutes to do this important check

You might currently be sitting smug with the knowledge that you're way ahead of the game with Glastonbury registration, but if you crossed the task off the list before 2020, then I urge you to take a minute to read this warning.

Chances are you'll be well aware that you need to be registered with the festival in order to pay a deposit and secure your spot - especially if you're keeping your fingers and toes crossed for one of the coveted tickets to Glasto 2024.

The registration process makes the tickets non-transferable, meaning they can't be bought up and sold on at a higher price.

In order to get a ticket, then, every person over the age of 13 who plans to buy one must have their own valid registration number - and don't think you can get around the process by having a mate do all the dirty work, either.

Even if you're planning to sit back and relax while your pal goes through the stress of trying to secure the tickets, you still need to be registered, and whoever's doing the buying will need to know your registration number and corresponding postcode.

At this point, you might be thinking you're all set with your registration, having done it years ago. However, Glastonbury Festival has a warning for anyone who completed their registration before 2020.

If that's you, you need to review your registration and confirm whether the details are still correct.

"Please also take a moment to review the details and photo(s) we have on file, submitting a more recent photo if your existing one is no longer of a good likeness, and make any other necessary amendments to your registered information no later than 30th September 2023," the site explains.

If you don't confirm the details you registered before 2020, then your registration will be deleted on 2 October 2023.

If you want any hope of securing a ticket after that, you'll have to submit a new registration before you can try and book tickets for the 2024 festival and future years.

All the details about tickets for next year's festival are set to be released by Glastonbury later this year, but just remember that you'll have no hope if you don't check your registration is all confirmed and up to date.

The event is renowned for bringing some of the world's best artists to the stage, so don't miss out just because you can't be bothered to double check.

You can confirm your registration details here.
