Lily Allen's career might be at an all-time high right now, but the singer could've retired many moons ago, if she'd accepted a rogue offer in 2009.
The 40-year-old recently sold out the first leg of her West End Girl tour, following the release of her fifth album under the same name, which many critics called the best album of 2025.
And yet Allen, who has spoken candidly about going to therapy for a shopping addiction which crippled her finances, has previously revealed one of her biggest regrets when it comes to her career.
In 2009, the Smile singer was offered 200,000 Bitcoins to perform on 3D chat website Second Life from the comfort of her own home, which at the time, prompted an eye roll and a response of 'as if,' from the star.

Back then, Bitcoin had only just been launched, so the offer was only worth roughly £445 — a figure probably not worth getting out of bed for, given her popularity at the time.
However, with just a single Bitcoin currently valued at £63,836.85 at the time of writing, the 200,000 Bitcoins Allen was offered, if left alone, would now be worth a staggering £12.77 billion. Let that sink in for a second. £12.77 billion.
In 2014, she took to X, then Twitter, after realising the gravity of her mistake, writing: "About 5 years ago someone asked me to stream a gig live on Second Life for hundreds of thousands of Bitcoins, 'as if' I said. #idiot #idiot."
While it is, without question, an insane amount of money, Allen is still believed to be worth a very healthy $4 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth, though this is likely set to rapidly increase as she embarks on her tour.
Allen and ex-husband David Harbour have also reportedly just managed to sell their Brooklyn townhouse for $7.3 million, which is $700,000 less than it was listed for.
The former couple put the home on the market in October last year after sensationally splitting in early 2025, shortly before the release of West End Girl, which included accusations of the Stranger Things star being unfaithful to her.
After the luxury Carroll Gardens property failed to sell, they reduced the price, and just two weeks later, the home sold to a mysterious anonymous buyer.
It's likely the new owner will remain a secret, given that the area is home to many wealthy families, professionals, and celebrities.
