How to beat queue on Ticketmaster as millions of Brits battle for Oasis tickets on Saturday morning

Imagine millions of people all trying to push their way through the same door to snag Oasis tickets

Spare a thought for the Ticketmaster staff this Saturday (31 August) as the hordes of Oasis fans descend upon them to try and buy tickets for the reunion tour.

Oasis being back is pretty big news and they announced 14 dates across the UK and Ireland where they'll play next month.

The band then chucked another few dates in the mix after 'unprecedented demand', so you can only imagine what carnage will be unleashed at the weekend when tickets officially go on sale.

If you're lucky enough to have signed up for the pre-sale ballot in time (it closed at 7pm yesterday) then you could be in with a chance of getting your ticket before anyone else is able to.

However, most people are going to have to wait until Saturday when the floodgates open, with those in the UK getting their chance at 9am and people in Ireland able to start buying an hour earlier at 8am.

Ticketmaster has said it'll be a 'first come, first served' deal and the simple fact of the matter is that more people will want to buy Oasis tickets than there are tickets available.

The band has said they're not doing Glastonbury and insisted that their shows won't be televised, so getting a ticket is the only way to see Noel and Liam back on stage together.

The digital queue for tickets is going to be massive, so you'd better be aware of what you need to do to beat the rush.

Make an account

In their announcements the band have already said you should 'register in advance of the sale with the relevant ticket agencies', so definitely go and do that now if you haven't.

You don't want to be faffing around at 9am trying to make a SEETickets or Ticketmaster account when everyone else has already done that, so that's seetickets.com or ticketmaster.co.uk if you're in the UK and ticketmaster.ie if you're in Ireland.

Use multiple devices, but one browser window

Another possible way to beat the queues is to only load up the site on one browser window, but use multiple devices.

You can only look at one browser window at a time but your eyes can quickly flit between screens, so feel free to try and get tickets with your phone and your computer.

The key to beating the queue is to have a stable and reliable internet connection, there's no point preparing to buy tickets from the site if you can't get on it.

Use the refresh button strategically

According to the Radio Times the perfect time to refresh the page is 10 seconds before the tickets go on sale, they reckon you should get onto the site 10 minutes before the floodgates open and then refresh 10 seconds before 9am.

You should absolutely NOT refresh the page if you've made it into the queue for tickets, doing that could get you kicked to the back of the line so getting into the queue early is the key rather than trying to refresh your way up it.

Got all that? Get on ticketmaster.co.uk on Saturday 31 August at 8.50am, refresh the page 10 seconds before 9am and DO NOT refresh it once you're in the queue.

If you're Irish then do all of that but on ticketmaster.ie and an hour earlier.

Good luck everyone.

Where will Oasis tickets be sold?
