Jackass star Steve-O has admitted that he once 'stalked' ex-girlfriend Stacey Solomon after falling for her.

After they were both cast on the same season of Channel 4's reality series The Jump back in 2015, Steve-O and Stacey were an item - but the romance only lasted a few months.

In his new book A Hard Kick in the Nuts: What I've Learned from a Lifetime of Terrible Decisions, the stuntman has admitted that his romance with Stacey didn't end on the best terms, but they didn't exactly start off on the right foot, either.

Back when the couple were in their hey-day, Steve-O admitted that he lightly stalked the former X-Factor contestant after falling head over heels for her.

Speaking to Keith Lemon during an appearance on Celebrity Juice back in 2015, the Jackass star explained that he and Stacey first met during a six-week stint in Austria while filming The Jump.

"Pretty much on the first night I was just getting creepy and looking her up online", he confessed.

"I liked her right away and we just started having a great time. Everyone says that we’re so opposite but I don’t see it."

In Steve-O's defence, who among us isn't guilty of the odd internet creep from time to time?

That being said, his romance with Stacey was a short one, and Steve-O has recently confessed that he isn't thrilled with how they ended things.

"I was smitten, I lavished her with attention, I got what I wanted and then I broke it off", he wrote in his new book.

"I had become not only part of her life, I'd become part of her kids' lives too. And then - poof - I was gone... To this day, I still beat myself up about the way it went down.

"Ironically, I don't think Stacey does. We aren't in touch any more, but she has corresponded with my family and seems to bear no ill toward me.

"She seems to be a happy person who can go through life without gigantic grudges, even when they might be totally justified. What a freak."

The couple eventually ended things, with Stacey going on to marry Joe Swash earlier this year, and Steve-O now engaged to his partner Lux Wright.

Stacey first met Joe after she was crowned the winner of I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! in 2010 - no stalking necessary.

The pair ended up dating for six years before they eventually tied the knot this July.
