As expected, there's been an almighty buzz around the eagerly-anticipated Friends: The Reunion. But one thing people aren't quite on board with is the chosen host: James Corden.
Taking to Twitter, people have been complaining that the 42-year-old has 'ruined' the comeback. Exhibit A and B:
Another person wrote: "The main factor that makes this Friends reunion unwatchable is James Corden."

Another commented: "Could you imagine watching all those seasons of Friends and thinking 'what this really needs is James Corden'."
Giving an alternative suggestion, another wrote: "Conan should have hosted the Friends Reunion...why James Corden?"
On the other hand, some people praised the decision to get Corden on board.

One wrote: "Can we brits BE anymore proud that @JKCorden is presenting the @FriendsTV reunion #FriendsReunion can't wait to watch it."
Another commented: "The formal interview with James Corden is also great. They play off the energy of the crowd. He wisely acts as moderator, not Talent - he doesn't make himself the 7th Friend."
The reunion special features Jennifer Aniston (Rachel Green), Courteney Cox (Monica Geller), Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe Buffay), Matt LeBlanc (Joey Tribbiani), Matthew Perry (Chandler Bing), and David Schwimmer (Ross Geller).
As well as streaming on HBO in the US, the show is available in the UK and Ireland on streaming service NOW TV on demand as of 8am today (27 May).
