Having hosted the Golden Globes a total of five times - for three consecutive years from 2010, then later in 2016 and 2020 - Ricky Gervais has shown he's unafraid to take on the Hollywood elite, weaving non-stop quips about actors, directors and reality stars into his opening monologues. His controversial hosting style hasn't always gone down too well with everyone, but after being asked back repeatedly by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, he's clearly made things memorable.
