Jeremy Clarkson has opened up in the new season of Clarkson’s Farm about how he was left ‘days away from death’ prior to emergency heart surgery.
Between season four and five of the Prime Video TV series Clarkson was rushed to hospital, receiving two stents fitted into his heart, with a doctor telling him he was days away from a heart attack due to blocked arteries.
Clarkson’s Farm season five is largely about new technology in its first few episodes, with Clarkson looking to buy a driverless tractor and update the farm so it isn’t left behind by a tech boom.
Amongst these discussions however is the new prevalence of ‘appetite suppression’ drugs which are frequently used to help people lose weight.

Speaking in the fourth episode of the show, Clarkson opens up about this – stating that he is using the ‘Muntjack’ weight loss jab, referring to the Mounjaro jab.
‘Alan the Builder’, whose full name is Alan Townsend, is reunited with Clarkson in the episode having himself had a health scare.

Alan had previously been rushed to hospital himself after his arteries collapsed, telling Clarkson in the episode: “One had collapsed and curled itself up, and the others were about 85-90 percent blocked.
“Horrible. I had a bit of a problem with the lungs, I lost 36% of the lungs."
The pair were neighbours in hospital, with Alan stating that Clarkson was ‘next door’.
The Top Gear presenter begins explaining that he’s on a GLP-1 jab, with Alan stating he also is and calling it a ‘little needle’, with Clarkson joking that young people watching may think it’s just ‘old people talking’ but they too will reach a similar stage at some point.
The Clarkson’s Farm star has admitted in a column in The Times that his entire outlook on health has changed after the birth of his grandchildren.

He said: “I have decided that it is so wonderful that I want it to go on for as long as is humanly possible. Which means I must do everything in my power not to die.
“When you are on Muntjac you can come down in the morning and idly help yourself to a small handful of sunflower seeds and it’ll feel like you’ve just finished a massive Christmas lunch. You’re stuffed.
“So you find yourself living a minibar existence. Tiny packets of milk, sachets with only three grains of sugar in them, vodka in thimbles. That’s not living, though. That’s existing.”
He has previously admitted that he lost three stone (over 19 kilos) in six months thanks to the jabs, changing over to Mounjaro after stating that Ozempic made him feel ‘sick’.
In a previous column about Ozempic he said: “My body lost the ability to deal with gluttony but once the initial enthusiasm had worn off, my mind still wanted to breakfast on Cadbury Fruit & Nut.
"This meant I was sick a lot."
