As fan theories continue to grow, two actors from Stranger Things have addressed the rumours that they're set to begin a same-sex relationship in the show.
Throughout the history of television, fans have always been rooting for two people to get together, whether it be Ross and Rachel or Jim and Pam, and now a lot of Stranger Things fans are hoping to see a fresh romantic twist for two of the show's main characters.
Most of us have caught up on the first few episodes of the latest season on Netflix by now, with things not looking good in Hawkins as Vecna threatens to take over the world.
While there's been an almost constant other-worldly threat during each season of the show, we've also had a lot of comic relief and relationships, with the likes of Jonathan and Nancy, Mike and Eleven, and Max and Lucas all getting together.

I can't bring myself to mention Joyce and Bob though, it's just too sad.

Now, it's perhaps not much of a spoiler to say that we've already had an eight-year theory confirmed in the first few episodes of the season, with Will Byers' character, portrayed by Noah Schnapp, confirmed to be gay.
After spotting fellow LGBTQIA+ characters Vickie and Robin sharing an intimate moment, the latter helps Will accept his sexuality, with his passionate conversations with Mike perhaps already giving the game away in season four.
And following a particularly epic moment in the latest episode, fans have been continuing to ship Mike and Will together, despite Mike's love for Eleven, something which the actors have both now given their thoughts on.

Finn Wolfhard, who plays Mike, told Attitude that there hasn't been much context for the two to begin a relationship, although fans are quick to disagree and point out other small signs that might indicate otherwise.
The 22-year-old said: “The shipping thing, that’s always, I think, something with fans of the show. That’s something in the show that I feel like if it did happen, it wouldn’t feel that earned.

"What’s so great about the show is that people are able to sort of feed themselves and be accepted for who they are.
“I don’t really look as much on the internet about stuff.”

The Duffer brothers have previously confirmed that while Will's sexuality is explored in the final season, there is more of a focus on him becoming a man, which we've already seen signs of in the first few episodes.
Schnapp also previously had his say on the internet theories, saying: "It’s probably the most commented comment in all my late-night videos. And I always ignore it."
