New claims over Tom Hardy's future on the show MobLand have only made the situation more confusing as the various allegations have had him in and out more times than the Hokey-Cokey.
So how did we get here?
First off were the claims from Puck News which said they'd heard Hardy had been 'fired' from the show and wouldn't be part of the confirmed third season.
We've had the first season already and production on the second has wrapped with it expected to release at some point this year with Hardy in it, but if his character Harry Da Souza isn't being killed off in the second series people will be wondering where he's got to.

Following those initial claims, The Hollywood Reporter had a source which said Hardy's behaviour on set was 'career suicide', claiming he'd spend hours in his trailer and turn up late to set.

A further spanner was thrown into the works when Variety claimed their own sources were telling them Hardy hadn't been fired at all, and while there had been some tension on set things were being worked out.
They'd said there was no official departure and a deal could still be done to get everyone together for the third season.
Now here we are with Page Six alleging that Hardy has actually decided not to return for season three of MobLand with the producers instead having to look at potential replacements in the form of The Penguin star Colin Farrell and Luther legend Idris Elba.
They claim Hardy wanted to see the scripts well in advance so he could get a handle on what his character was doing in season two, but very busy writer Jez Butterworth allegedly told him that wasn't going to be the case.
On top of that they allege that Hardy spending a lot of time in his trailer was delaying things and cranking up the budget for producers 101 Studios.

Page Six's source says there was no 'feud' but tensions were 'all very passive-aggressive and British', and that Hardy indicated he wouldn't come back for a third season but would do promotional work for season two.
So not 'fired', but not signing on to do more is their version of events.
For the time being Hardy remains Schrodinger's actor, which is to say we won't know for certain if he's actually going to be in MobLand going forward until someone with a bit more authority than 'sources' comes out and says something.
It's just another set of uncertain claims which don't sound like they can coexist easily with the claims from everyone else's sources.
Obviously if Hardy isn't going to be on the show next season that'd have big ramifications for the on-screen drama, but until there's certain information you should take everything you hear with the biggest pinch of salt possible.
