Victoria Beckham is fuming after her dog tried to destroy a $500 advent calendar

Victoria Beckham is fuming after her dog tried to destroy a $500 advent calendar

Looks like Beckham's doggo, Simba, wanted to be a part of the former Spice Girl's haul.

The former Spice Girl has been left fuming after her cheeky dog tried to destroy her AUD $500 (£370 or USD $334.8) advent calendar.

According to Daily Mail, over the weekend, the fashion designer uploaded a story to her Instagram where she is showing off her advent calendar containing lush candles by Diptyque.

However, shortly after unveiling the calendar, Beckham’s pooch, Simba, began walking all over it.

See, Simba? This is why we can’t have nice things!

An irritated Beckham yelled: “Simba! What are you doing? Simba is trying to take my advent calendar, which I am very excited about.”

She added: “This is mine Simba, hands off!”

Perhaps the doggo was trying to get a quick whiff of the fashion designer’s lavish candles to get into the festive spirit?

Posh Spice can’t seem to catch a break these days, as according to Mirror, Beckham’s store didn’t have any queues during the Black Friday sales - the busiest shopping day of the year.

Ouch!

Despite the crippling cost of living crisis in the UK, Black Friday proved to be as busy as last year's activity on London's High Street, as per the outlet.

However, Victoria's store on Dover Street attracted few customers even with significant sales and promotions.

Despite the former bandmate notifying her 30 million followers that 20 per cent off was being offered storewide, it wasn’t enough to generate buzz.

Earlier this year, Victoria's high-end clothing company had accumulated AUD $96.4 million (£53.9m or USD $64.6m) in debts.

A spokesperson for the brand confirmed the figures to The Mirror while also revealing that the store’s decline in sales was a direct result of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The report also stated as per The Independent: “Total revenues for the Victoria Beckham Holdings group fell six per cent to AUD $64.6 million (£36.1m or USD 43.2m) due to the impact of the global pandemic.”

They added: “This group rapidly responded to the effects of the pandemic and controlled its cash and expenditure which led to a significant reduction in its operating losses by 57 per cent, thanks to cost efficiencies across the business and the recalibration of its business model to make it sustainable for the longer term.

“Victoria Beckham Beauty continues to expand its portfolio with a number of successful product launches in this year with best in class in clean luxury beauty and skincare.”

Time to sell that advent calendar, babe!
