Wordle users are “ripping their hair out” at today’s “nasty” word on 1st March.

Players of the viral daily word game, which was recently taken over by The New York Times, have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts on Wordle 255 - and users don’t seem to be too impressed.

Warning: Wordle 255 spoilers ahead.

“Nasty one today! I was ripping my hair out!,” Daniel told his followers after sharing his Wordle grid.

“Wordle 255 6/6 this one was rough,” another gamer wrote.

Mark Watson wrote: “Not everyone’s going to love this Wordle. Look after yourself out there.”

A different user was extremely upset about today’s word, which was “Rupee”, and wrote: “I genuinely can’t wait for people to FREAK THE F OUT about today’s Wordle answer.

“Remember when everyone was big mad about “bloke?!” Whoooooboy. #Wordle255 [sic]”, they continued.

“Really?”, a different Wordle player wrote. “I gave up,” they admitted.

Meanwhile, Ian wrote: “Better than yesterday’s travesty”.

The “nasty” word comes as users made a hilarious reference to “e-girls” after a surprising word cropped up on the game yesterday.

One user took to Twitter to simply write “wordle 254” alongside the cover art for CORPSE and Savage Ga$p’s song E-GIRLS ARE RUINING MY LIFE!, which depicts popular TikToker Emma Langevin in the image.

The Twitter post appeared to be in reference to today’s word on the game, “choke”, as the song also begins with the lyrics: “Choke me like you hate me, but you love me”.
