MrBeast's former manager Reed Duchscher has opened up about how he feels the 'influencing' landscape is changing, and how there are now ways to make money off social media without having mega loads of followers.

MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, is a YouTube star who has become the single most subscribed-to channel on YouTube, with over 450 million fans on the video-sharing platform.

Not only have his videos been watched 92 billion times, but he also has other successful business ventures, including Feastables and MrBeast Burger.

Alongside viral content, much of MrBeast's videos focus on his philanthropic work, in which he has funded surgeries for 1,000 blind people, initiated huge clean water projects, raised millions for environmental causes and supported food banks.

Although a hugely successful content creator, MrBeast's former manager Duchscher has spoken about the future of content, believing that Donaldson may be one of the last to harness such a huge following.

Instead, talent that specialises in a certain niche, even if that means they have fewer followers, could be the way forward.

"If you like travel content, if you like automotive content, if you like health and beauty content, your algorithms kind of stay in that vertical," he told Business Insider.

"It's much easier to build businesses when you have a hyper-niche, scaled audience because the product makes a lot more sense."

Finding creators who specialise in a particular vertical is becoming more popular. And while Duchscher is no longer MrBeast's talent manager, he still works with him on Feastables.

Feastables is a chocolate and snack brand created by Donaldson back in 2022.

It focuses on ethical sourcing, helping 'move kids out of cocoa fields and into classrooms'.

MrBeast was recently asked about how much money he actually has, and his response may surprise you.

In a livestream hosted by internet personality and streamer Adin Ross, Donaldson was asked about his true net worth.

Adin asked: "Jimmy, are you a billionaire? Be honest," to which he replied: "Yeah."

It isn't the first time the content creator has been candid about his massive earnings on the internet, as he also revealed how much money he had in his bank account during an interview with Steven Bartlett on the Diary of a CEO podcast.

He said: "In my actual bank account, I have less than $1 million (£793,000).

"[I pay myself] a little bit, but I also have some assistants and things like that, so I try to pay myself what I spend personally, a month, just to stay even."
