Blimey.

Ed Sheeran, the most famous ginger on planet Earth since Rugrats' Chuckie, has a plan on how to increase the strawberry blonde population.

In an interview with Studio Brussel, the Shape of You singer was quizzed about protecting and prolonging the 'endangered species' of gingers.

The presenter, another proud redhead, gives Sheeran two framed photos of what their babies would look like.

She then passes him her phone number.

"And your boyfriend and my girlfriend... totally fine with this?" Sheeran jokes.

"It is to save the ginger race," the presenter insists.

Sheeran then ups the ante and declares: "We should get all the ginger people in Brussels together and we should all have one big gangbang."

"I feel you," the presenter replies, before whispering "call me" to the singer.

This isn't the first time Ed Sheeran's hair colour has been brought up in conversation.

In a 2015 interview, he even congratulated himself on ginger people getting laid more due to his huge rise in popularity.

"There are a lot of ginger dudes in England who are using me," he said in the interview. "That's why I'm not hating on it. You know what, we're finally getting laid. This is a good thing.

"My cousin went on holiday with all her mates," he added. "Her mate was in a bar and this dude came up to her and said 'I have my song on the radio and my name is Ed Sheeran'.

"So she is like 'hold on a minute' and she goes to get my cousin and she says [to the guy] 'tell her that'.

"And he goes 'yeah my name is Ed Sheeran and I have got this song on the radio' and then Kathy, my cousin, just pulls out her ID and holds it up and it says Kathy Sheeran and she yells out 'look at that! Not today mate... not today'.

"And the guy goes to all the bars in all the land. Apparently it works for him."

Sheeran has also talked about how being bullied over his ginger hair helped shape his career.

"Being ginger can seem like a bad thing when you are young but as a musician it has been my saving grace - because if you see a ginger kid on TV and there is only one messy-haired ginger kid who plays guitar, it is very easy to find them on YouTube.

"When I went home and went to the pub and saw the people who used to be dicks at school, it's kind of depressing.

"They not only haven't done anything, but they don't know that there is anything out there.

"They are so stuck in their little world. So I feel sad for them - they are kind of being bullied by life."

Ouch.
