He hasn't aged in decades.

Keanu Reeves has played some impressive characters over the course of his 32 year career. He's stopped bullets in The Matrix, battled demons in Constantine and kicked ass in John Wick.

But there have been rumours circulating that 'Mr Anderson' has been on this earth for a lot longer than 1964. A website called Keanuisimmotral compares photos of the Speed actor and paintings which date back as far as the 16th century.

So Jimmy Fallon decided to ask Keanu during an interview on The Tonight Show about whether he has found the elixir to immortality. While the actor replied with, 'We're all stardust baby', it didn't stop the talk show host bringing out some photos to see what the audience thought.Credit: The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

You can't deny that there are some similarities between the two.

Many believers of the theory point to a comment made by Keanu in 2014. When the actor was asked why he donated £50 million ($64 million) to the people behind the scenes of The Matrix trilogy, he said: "Money is the last thing I think about. I could live on what I have already made for the next few centuries."

During the interview with Fallon, he also revealed that his manager and agent wanted him to change his name because they didn't think Keanu Reeves would be marketable.

He was so upset about their request that he drove to the beach to figure out how he could come up with a new moniker. After doing a bit of soul searching, he landed on Chuck Spadina.

Can you imagine hearing the trailer voiceover man say: "The Matrix Reloaded, starring Chuck Spadina as Neo." Even typing that seems weird.

But luckily he stood his ground and they stuck with Keanu Reeves.
