Shelby, a nurse from Boston, was in a car accident but one of the first things she did while still in a neck brace was take a selfie to show her untouched eyeliner.

Yep. She was THAT impressed by it.

She used the selfie to write a review on Kat Von D's website which is where the eyeliner is from. She said: "This product is truly amazing. June 28th I was pulled over in my car calling for roadside assistance when a distracted driver hit me going 55mph.

"I was taken via ambulance to the ER where I remained for 8 hours. My mascara was running down my face from crying and all other products had been wiped off in the transfer to the hospital. But not my tattoo eyeliner.

"I am posting a pick to show you, this product lasts and looks amazing through anything. Never buying any other liner again [sic]."

Her online review was shared on Twitter and has since gone viral after thousands of social media users have labelled it 'the best review ever'.

Florida student Lahari spotted Shelby's review when she was searching for an eyeliner and shared it on Twitter where it has been liked and shared more than 50,000 times in a matter of hours.

Following the social media storm, Shelby took to Twitter to defend her selfie due to receiving some criticism for taking a picture when she just got hit by a car.

She tweeted: "Everyone's hating on my review because I posted a picture of the makeup after the accident [but] 1. I took the photo for police evidence, 2. But have you ever seen such a good eyeliner?!"

Kat Von D's cult Tattoo Liner ($20/£16) is liquid eyeliner and boasts a 'highly pigmented, 24-hour wear formula for bulletproof lines every time'.

Well, it's certainly accident-proof, that's for sure.
