A sex therapist has said there are some health benefits to masturbating without using your hands, and it's not that you can also be scrolling through your phone while getting off.
Pretty much everyone has used a private moment to enjoy themselves at some point, but some of you can get your motor running without the need to reach downwards.
That's because something called syntribation exists, and it involves a woman crossing her legs and squeezing her thighs to stimulate the clitoris and vulva.
It's possibly not the advised method if you're in possession of meat and two veg, lest you end up with a pair of painfully squeezed plums, but if you've got the clitoris and vulva to make it work then by all means.

This is apparently quite good for you according to sex therapist Kimberly Thomas, who told Woman's Health it was a safe and discrete way to get a spot of private time.

"Syntribation is also a safe way to explore your own sexuality, build familiarity and comfort with your sexual self, and gain sexual confidence," the sex therapist explained before going on to detail the boon to keeping your masturbation on the down low.
"Please keep in mind that people around you are not consenting to being around you as you masturbate, so opt for more independent settings."
Thomas also said that in addition to being a good gateway to masturbation and exploring one's body in the early stages it could also be helpful for those with physical disabilities.

If it's good for your mood and your confidence then it's a big positive, and the health benefits of masturbation are well documented as doctors say it's a 'common and healthy part of human sexuality'.
Dr Sham Singh told The Handy that finding the right time for a quick session could help you perk up in the morning, thanks to the hormones released or get settled down at night.

The doctor said there were 'numerous psychological and physical advantages' to masturbation as it could help relax your muscles, put your mind in a better place and 'relieve premenstrual tension caused by menstruation'.
If syntribation is your way to do that then all power to you, and if you really wanted to you could live out the endorphin dream state of masturbation while eating two chocolate bars at once.

Just think of the possibilities.
More seriously, Dr Jen Claude recommended that you enjoy masturbation 'so long as it doesn't interfere with your daily life; it doesn't interfere with your mental wellbeing, it does not interfere with your relationships; interfere with your ability to go to your job or lead a happy, healthy, productive life'.
Hopefully, you know your own body and mind and can judge when and when not to indulge.
