Look, if you’re happily in a relationship then good for you because it’s the trenches out there.

While online dating apps may be seeing a decline in users, plenty of people are still spending time swiping away and sending likes, hoping to actually find someone normal for a relationship.

And while you might be dodging dodgy dating trends or maybe feeling a little bit desperate, we’ve all got to have standards.

Maybe you’re looking for someone with ambition and drive or value their humour and confidence more. But either way, we’ve all got a ‘bare minimum’ we’d like a person to meet.

Although, this woman’s list of ‘bare minimum’ expectations have sparked quite the debate as she’s asking for some big things. She sent her Hinge match her criteria, including a 300k salary requirement. Yeah, quite the minimum.

A Reddit user shared a screenshot of their exchange as it seems she had included the ‘checklist’ for on her profile.

And to be fair to her, she did warn: “Lol it’s quite the list,” before sending over all 18 points.

Titled ‘Bare Minimum for Husband’, number one was for them to love her ‘deeply’ and put her first, swiftly followed up by the divisive: “Financially successful (300k+ salary).”

She then wants someone ‘generous’ to spoil her as well as them being sophisticated, enjoying luxury, emotionally intelligent, confident, chivalrous, protective, ambitious, disciplined, fit, attractive and well-groomed. And that’s only half of her list.

Other expectations include her ‘husband’ preferring ‘privacy over social media validation.'

She’d also like them to be ‘sexually disciplined and loyal’ as well as taking control and making plans.

Her list is rounded off with: “17. Handles pregnancy prevention (no hormones for me). 18. Makes life easier (maid, chef, etc.).”

Obviously, assuming this is for either UK or US men, an expectation of earning 300k a year will be cutting down this woman’s dating pool by a huge fraction.

While one Reddit user suggested: “Anyone that fits each of those probably isn’t on [dating apps].”

One joked: “Honestly, makes $300k salary and is family-oriented? The Unicorn.”

Some users respected and praised her honesty, while another simply wrote: “Haha good luck with that.”

With another writing: “That's a girl that wants you for what you have rather than who you are.”

But others admitted: “If I’m being totally honest with myself, my (secret) list is pretty similar."

“If this is a joke, A+, love her humour. If this is real, don't walk away, run,” one advised.
