Real life 'hotwife' reveals 'what everybody gets wrong' about controversial lifestyle

Carli Foster has been 'empowered' since embracing the hotwifing lifestyle with her partner three years ago

A real life 'hotwife' has revealed the one key element of the provocative lifestyle trend that so many people tend to get wrong.

There has been a huge surge in interest around the polyamorous trend, which sees women in heterosexual relationships having sex with other men, with their partners' consent.

But while some men in the hotwifing community have likened it to letting a friend borrow their sports car, one woman is eager to dispel any myths about power imbalances when it comes to this way of life.

Carli Foster and her partner shared a loving and monogamous relationship, having welcomed two children together before deciding to take the leap into hotwifing.

After the birth of their second child, life coach Carli decided to get into the best shape of her life, prompting her partner to suggest she create an OnlyFans account, because she'd 'make a killing.'

'It sounds fun, we'll give it a go'

Although this initial suggestion was merely a joke, it did lead the couple into deciding to open up their relationship in the form of hotwifing, which would see 43-year-old Carli meeting other men for sex, with the consent and support of her partner.

"I was just like, yeah f*** it, you know, it sounds fun, we'll give it a go," the 43-year-old told LADbible.

Though they didn't have the easiest start when entering the world of polyamory.

"It wasn't plain sailing at the beginning and my partner did have a few wobbles," Carli said. "We went through some difficult initial periods where we'd gotten quite far down the line and then he'd get really upset and stressed about the whole thing."

After much discussion and a lot of honest conversations, the couple decided they did want to go ahead with it and since then, they've been happily hotwifing for three years, spicing up their own sex life in the process.

While some people assume hotwifing is about men hiring out 'their women' to other men, much like they're a possession, Carli says this couldn't be further from the truth for her relationship.

Hotwifing is 'great for both of us'

"After having kids and being in my 40s, its been a very liberating and empowering experience for me. It's great for both of us because he gets a lot of sexual pleasure from it, so its obviously fulfilling his fantasies and desires, but it was framed to me so I could go out and have some fun," she said.

"Having been in the throws of motherhood with really young children, it's given me the ability to have an identity outside of family life."

As well as boosting her own extracurricular activities, hotwifing has also improved Carli's sex life with her partner, while massively boosting her self-confidence.

"It’s kept our sex life really engaged because we’ve been together seven years now, my partner finds it a huge turn on and really enjoys it so everyone’s been a winner," she said.

"If its the right dynamic for people it can be really empowering and enjoyable for both parties, done the right way."
