Important Research Reveals The Favourite And Least Favourite Celebrations

Of course it's important. What do you mean?

Righto, there has been some debate recently concerning exactly which chocolate is the best in a box of Celebrations.

It began when people were seemingly horrified yesterday to receive a Bounty as the first chocolate in their Celebrations advent calendar.

That continued today when the second door revealed a Snickers - another unpopular choice it would seem.

But all is not what it seems, as we've been handed some vitally important data that was collected by Mars - who manufacture Celebrations - regarding which of their sweet treats are the most popular. They've even broken it down into age categories for us.

Let me tell you, the results are shocking.

To begin with, the Bounty is not the least popular. In fact, the older you are, the more likely you are to enjoy a coconut chocolate moment. Amongst those aged 55 and over, it's the second most popular in a box of Celebrations.

Snickers, too. For all it's not the most popular, it is the second favourite of people aged 35-44 years old. Have a bit of that, Snickers haters.

Outside of those to revelatory facts, there are actually relatively few surprises at the top. Maltesers Teasers feature at the number one spot across the board. Seems fair enough, they're great.

Galaxy is the other big hitter, coming second in most categories.

Celebrations - at long last the debate is over. Sort of.

As is so often the case with any league table, the real intrigue is to be found down at the bottom. Shockingly, everyone from the age of 18-45 rates Mars Bars at the very bottom of the pile.

Everyone who is 45+ thinks that Milky Way chocolates are the worst. It's bizarre.

Possibly the two least offensive chocolate bars in the world, including the flagship confectionary brand of Mars, reduced to this?

Sad times.

The research was carried out by respectable polling company YouGov, who surveyed a total of 2,045 adults and asked them to rate their favourite Celebrations. That's a decent sample size, so maybe the writing is on the wall.

Leah Dyckes, Celebrations Brand Director, Mars Wrigley Confectionery UK, said: "Every year we enjoy seeing the debates rage about the nation's favourite Celebrations but in truth the Celebrations mix is carefully designed so it is perfect for sharing.

"After all, Christmas is a time to spend time with loved ones."

There you have it. Instead of arguing about which is best, just enjoy the ones you pick and leave the ones you don't to someone who does.

Or just disregard this information entirely. After all, what do polling companies know, eh?
