Vladimir Putin has reportedly outlined his demands for bringing Russia's war with Ukraine to an end.
The Russian leader is said to have named three points that he wants met to pull the plug on the conflict, which has so far killed hundreds of thousands of people.
Putin met with Donald Trump in Alaska last week, marking the first summit between the two leaders in years, for highly anticipated peace talks over the Russia-Ukraine war.
Despite Trump's claims that he would table a deal and threats that he would punish Putin if one was not reached, nothing was agreed upon at the conclusion of the summit.

The latter would speak a rare bit of English in front of the public, suggesting that the next meeting with Trump be in Moscow.
Neither revealed what they talked about, though Trump spoke of his confidence that a peace deal would be agreed upon, in anticipation of his meeting with Volodymyr Zelenskyy and several European leaders at the White House earlier this week.
Russian sources have since claimed that three conditions must be met for Putin to put an end to the 'bloodbath' that has been taking place in Eastern Europe.
Putin's previous demands involved Kyiv giving up the four areas which Russia claims as its own, which include Donetsk and Luhansk (the Donbas), as well as Kherson and Zaporizhzhia.

Now, it has been reported that Putin is demanding that Ukraine give up the eastern Donbas region for starters, and that he wants Ukrainian leader Zelenskyy to renounce his ambitions to join NATO and remain neutral.
According to Kremlin sources via Reuters, Putin has also demanded that Ukraine keep Western troops out of the country.
They claim that Moscow would then, in return, stop its current front lines in Zaporizhzhia and Kherson.
According to US data, Russia already controls roughly 88 percent of the Donbas and 73 percent of Zaporizhzhia and Kherson, though the nation may even be open to handing over parts of the Kharkiv, Sumy, and Dnipropetrovsk regions of Ukraine it controls, as part of a deal, say sources.
But so far, Russia and Ukraine remain far apart in their demands, as Zelenskyy has previously dismissed the idea of withdrawing from land recognised as Ukraine, in any sort of deal.

Speaking to reporters yesterday (21 August), he said: "If we're talking about simply withdrawing from the east, we cannot do that.
"It is a matter of our country's survival, involving the strongest defensive lines."
However, joining NATO could be Ukraine's most reliable security move.
One of the sources claimed: "Putin is ready for peace - for compromise. That is the message that was conveyed to Trump."

It is still unknown if Ukraine has outright rejected the demands, as a possible agreement could be met not just between the two nations, but with the US as well - a move that could be recognised by the UN Security Council.
"There are two choices: war or peace, and if there is no peace, then there is more war," a source added.
