A diagnosed sociopath has revealed the techniques she would use to disguise her condition from other people.

Rather than letting people make their own assumptions about those who have anti-social personality disorder (ASPD), Kanika Batra-Matheson wants to use her first-hand experience to educate people on what it's like living with it.

Throughout the last year or so, the Australia-based model and content creator has filled us in on the ins and outs of her mental health condition.

She's explained how you can 'spot' a sociopath in your midst, what it's like being in a relationship with one and three common behaviours they often display.

Her social media pages are a wealth of knowledge for someone wanting to find out more about the condition, especially as it's all coming straight from the horse's mouth.

But one of Kanika's latest posts regarding 'how she hid' her sociopathy has managed to both unnerve and enlighten quite a few people.

So, what is a sociopath?

According to the NHS, sociopaths have a severe form of ASPD, which relates to irresponsible, impulsive and even criminal behaviour.

People who have this mental health condition will 'typically be manipulative, deceitful and reckless, and will not care for other people's feelings'.

The former Miss Universe and Miss World finalist explained that before she began sharing her story online, she had came up with a few methods to keep her disorder 'concealed in relationships'.

"Let's just say, blinking didn't come naturally and people started to get really freaked out by all the eye contact," the model said, explaining she has a killer ability to hold a cold, emotionless stare.

"What made me most successful, however, was not being afraid to lose someone at any point." she continued. "I will always make people come to my side of the road and they'll think it's their idea, and that's why I can't be used at first.

"However, if I find someone attractive, I can become any person that they want. Girls or guys, but mostly girls."

She went on: "I feel like I don't get enough credit for sitting there listening to people's problems...it has literally nothing to do with me and I am investing in it, and nobody seems to be giving me the gratitude for that."

The New Zealand native said that people often tell her she's 'too nice to be a sociopath', which she reckons shows how few people actually understand the condition.

"Charisma is pretty easy to come by when you don't have a moral compass," she said. "Just say what people wanna hear, it always works...then you can crush their delusions later on."

She then put sociopathy into context to make it easier for people to comprehend.

"If you wanna know how deep the sociopathy goes, imagine this," Kanika said. "You go to a cafe where there's an old lady that reminds you of your grandma.

"She is beyond sweet, she gives you a free hot chocolate with marshmallows on it, she tells you about the son that she lost in Vietnam. Could you drink that hot chocolate, smash the cup on the floor and then cuss her out? After all of this, there are no feelings attached to this.

"That is what it's like to have antisocial personality disorder."

Social media users were left stunned by Kanika's candid admissions and took to the comment section to share their thoughts.

One said: "I'm starting to think I'm a sociopath," while another added: "We listen and we don't judge!"

A third wrote: "Bro this is so true."

A fourth chimed in: "No credit for listening to problems is so REAL.

"I do NOT care about your issues, I'm listening so you like me and I get what I need."

And a fifth just said: "I'm scared."
