The McRib has become something of a cult sandwich for McDonald's fans over the years, appearing on the menu for limited periods of time before disappearing again.

Well, the good news is that McDonald's Australia has decided to bring it back to our shores, as well as a few other menu items.

In addition to the McRib, Macca's will also be dropping the El Maco and Mini Hotcakes with Nutella all at the same time.

For context, the McRib and El Maco are two of the most requested burgers on the McDonald's menu and they have never appeared at the same time together.

McDonald's is trying its best to save 2020, even though we're on the home stretch.

For the uninitiated, the McRib includes 'delicious pork, dripping in a smoky BBQ McRib sauce and topped with Macca's famous pickles'. That sentence alone has us salivating.

The El Maco is 'made with 100% juicy Aussie beef with chunky Mexican salsa and sour cream'. Again, salivating.

Then, we've saved the best for last: Mini Hotcakes with Nutella.

This is literally two mini hotcakes sandwiched together with Nutella as the filling in between. Genuinely, we couldn't imagine anything better.

The McRib and El Maco will be available in restaurants nationwide from tomorrow (9 December) until 19 January, while the Mini Hotcakes with Nutella will remain on the menu until 16 February.

There is no doubt that people will be racing to get their grubby mitts on these bad boys, so you'd better get involved while you can - they will not be around forever. Happy hunting.
