A wife kicked her husband out from the delivery room after he called her a ‘hormonal mess’.

In a Reddit post, the 32-year-old first-time mum revealed that her husband was initially extremely ‘supportive’ while she was facing painful contractions at the hospital.

However, a confrontation arose after the midwife asked the couple a few routine questions about their pregnancy journey.

She wrote: “Then she said if we are excited about the pregnancy being over and I said that yes, because it's been hard for me. My husband snorted and said ‘for me too, she was so difficult'."

Yikes, let this be a lesson to all men.

After the husband made the snide remark, the midwife swiftly changed the conversation; however, the soon-to-be mum was not going to let her partner off that easily.

She continued: “I asked my husband what the f he means by that, and he said that he is happy it's over and he will get his wife back and ‘the hormonal mess is over'."

Way to put the nail in the coffin.

We can imagine it would’ve been a great time to practice those pregnancy breathing techniques following that conversation.

The wife then disclosed that she kicked her husband out of the delivery room so he wouldn’t be present for his daughter’s birth.

She added: “I was so hurt and told him to please just leave the room. He said he's not going anywhere because his child is being born here.

“I yelled at him to get the f out and he was p***ed off, called me an a**hole for making him miss his kid's birth and stormed off.”

I suspect at this point, amid the fighting, the midwife was trying to disappear just like that Homer Simpson hedges GIF.

The new mother said her husband hadn’t been back to see his child but was expected to stop by the delivery room later that day.

Despite the blood-boiling argument, many praised the woman for booting her husband out for his scathing comments.

One person commented: “Yeah. So many of these comments are disturbing. Even if he was just joking, she wasn't in a good place to think it was funny.”

Another person wrote: “The entitlement. It's not about the man, the only person anyone should be worrying about is the person GIVING BIRTH. IT'S NOT A CIRCUS ACT.”

A third person said: “A lot of people treat labour (ie, female pain and female risk of death or disability) like some kind of consumer experience to which they are entitled, like it exists for their delectation.

“It isn't Disney, folks.”

Let this be a lesson everyone: be nice when your partner is giving birth.
