McDonald's brand new McMuffin has dropped and it's an absolute mighty, meaty beast.

With the festive season well and truly in full swing - just one month to go, folks - plenty of people will be indulging in a bevvy or two over the next few weeks.

And for those who wake up with a sore head and an empty belly after their Christmas parties, then look no further than Maccies' latest breakfast addition.

Introducing the Mighty McMuffin.

As part of its new Christmas menu, the Mighty McMuffin consists of a pork sausage patty seasoned with herbs, a free-range egg, two slices of bacon and a slice of cheese.

All of this is served in a toasted English muffin with your choice of either tomato ketchup or brown sauce.

One of these tasty sarnies will set you back £3.99, or you can add some hash browns and a drink by making it a meal for just £5.59.

Let's face it - most of us will be going for the latter option.

Be sure to get them while they're still hot, as they're only available until 11am each day like the rest of McDonald's breakfast menu.

But if you don't wake up in time, don't fret, as the fast food chain has added a variety of taste new treats to its 2022 festive menu.

These include the classic Big Tasty, its Festive Pie, Cheese Melt Dippers and the Celebrations McFlurry.

The Festive Pie is also making a return.

You'll have to be quick if you want to get your hands on the seasonal faves.

They'll be hitting restaurants across the UK from today (23 November) for a limited six week period.

If none of the yuletide items tickle your fancy, you can always have a go on the McCrispy chicken burger which was made a permanent fixture on the Maccies menu earlier this year.

Alongside the new releases, the company announced that it's set to embark on a Christmas tour this week where it'll be giving away free Christmas photo cards for UK families.

Per the press release, "McDonald’s will be visiting five locations across the UK from Wednesday with this bumper offering so friends and families can capture and take away a photo moment to send to loved ones."

As well as the photo cards, the firm added that it'll be giving away free festive food at every stop.

"Launching on the 23rd of November in Colchester, the Christmas Card Tour will travel to five locations across five days," it added.

Other destinations include Swindon, Derby, Llandudno and Doncaster on November 24, 25, 26 and 27 respectively.

For those who can't make any of the dates, at least there's the Mighty McMuffin to feast on.

That's breakfast sorted for the next few weeks.
