A single man, 51, nearly masturbated himself to death after suffering a stroke soon after ejaculating.
According to a medical case report published earlier this year in the Journal of Stroke and Cerebrovascular Diseases, the 51-year-old Japanese man was said to have been in the habit of pleasuring himself multiple times a day.
Unfortunately, he suffered a subarachnoid haemorrhage - a stroke in which bleeding occurs in the fluid-filled spaces of the brain - that usually occurs during a large amount of physical effort.

The man, who prefers not to be identified for obvious reasons, immediately suffered intense headaches after climaxing, which later led to vomiting.
Despite the sudden symptoms, he was able to check himself in at Nagoya City University Hospital in Nagoya, Japan.
After doctors took a CT scan on his brain, results confirmed that the man suffered a subarachnoid haemorrhage, which could have been life-threatening.
Thankfully, he survived the incident and was discharged from hospital within two weeks. Doctors said he left in excellent condition.

According to the NHS, a subarachnoid haemorrhage is most often caused by a burst blood vessel in the brain, which happened to be the case in this particular incident.
While it is unknown exactly why brain aneurisms develop, if you push yourself too hard physically, like you might do in sex, it can increase the chances of a stroke.
A subarachnoid haemorrhage could also be triggered by lifting something heavy, coughing or going to the toilet.
There are also certain risk factors that play their part.

Excessive smoking and alcohol consumption, high blood pressure and a severe head injury can all be contributing factors.
Symptoms can include sudden severe headaches, a stiff neck, feeling or being sick, sensitivity to light, blurred or double vision, slurred speech, weakness in one side of the body, and uncontrollable shaking.
Dr Daniel Walsh, who is a consultant cerebrovascular neurosurgeon at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, told MailOnline the ruptured aneurysm which caused this patient's stroke is linked with a sudden rise in blood pressure.

He said masturbation or any type of sexual activity can cause this incident to happen and is said to cause between 3.8 percent and 14 percent of all subarachnoid haemorrhage cases.
Also taking cocaine during sex can substantially increase the risk of a stroke.
Dr Walsh said: "On a positive note, you will probably do more to prevent having a subarachnoid haemorrhage by avoiding smoking, recreational drugs and managing elevated blood pressure with your GP than abstaining from sex in all its forms."
