A McDonald's drive-thru restaurant in Leicester has become a coronavirus testing centre, after being temporarily handed over to a private health company.
DHU Healthcare has begun to test key workers on the site, after it closed to customers in March following the outbreak of Covid-19.
A McDonald's spokesperson told LADbible: "Last week McDonald's handed over use of its Meridian Business Park Drive-Thru in Leicester for use by DHU Healthcare for Covid-19 testing for NHS workers.
"Despite restaurants remaining closed, employees and franchisees have continued serving their local communities and supporting national organisations, helping those that need it the most."

The fast food chain recently responded to rumours that had circulated online claiming restaurants were due to reopen in May - and it wasn't good news for Maccies lovers, I'm afraid.
A statement was released on social media after various reports claimed the Golden Arches would be open for business again in a few weeks, saying there are 'no confirmed reopening plans at this time'.
Posting on 24 April, the UK Twitter account said:
Gutted.
