Donald Trump Appears As Top Result In Google Image Search For 'Idiot'

Trump has recently spent some time in the UK, where a group of protesters attempted to get Green Day's 'American Idiot' to number one

US President Donald Trump had a busy old week last week, flying to the UK, being imortalised as a giant baby blimp and having tea with the Queen. Well, here's another note for his diary: he's now found himself top of Google image search results for the word 'idiot'.

I don't think he's going to like that, but fortunately for him, while he's almost certainly the type of person who searches their own name on Google, it's unlikely he'll be looking up 'idiot', so maybe he won't see it.

His visit to the UK wasn't to everyone's liking and in London thousands turned out to protest. Green Day's song 'American Idiot' reentered the charts too, which, in turn has meant that 'idiot' has become associated with the prez. Awkward.

A quick search just now found that the POTUS' image appears in six of the top 10 results - and in the second result he's alongside Theresa May.

A Facebook page, set up to get 'American Idiot' to number one while Trump was in the UK, got itself 20,000 followers, all spreading the message. However, despite their best efforts, 'Three Lions' remained in the top spot, with Green Day's anthem hitting number nine in the Vodafone Top 40 last Sunday - so a pretty good week for, shall we say, vintage music, then.

According to the Independent, Trump almost didn't come to the UK at all, after he reportedly told May that he would only make an appearance on British soil if she outlawed protests. The PM told him that wouldn't be possible and, never one to shy away from controversy, Trump decided to come over anyway.

Robert Wood Johnson, the US ambassador to the UK, told media that Trump was most hyped about meeting the Queen - well, who can blame him?

Johnson said: "Meeting Her Majesty is the most important thing because she's the head of state and, from then on, it'll be what the President wants to do."

What he didn't want to do was deal with the massive Trump baby blimp, which he reportedly said made him feel 'unwelcome'. Sorry to break it to you Don, but I think that was actually the point.

The blimp split opinion, with some thinking it was a fun and typically British form of protest, and others calling it out for being childish and stupid.
