A TikTok tech expert has showed followers a smart trick to make Siri say 'whatever you want', taking users through a series of simple steps on an iPhone.

TikToker Kaan (@kaansanity) shared the nifty technique with his 4.4 million followers, asking them: "What are y'all gonna make it say?"

According to Kaan, you can make Siri say whatever you desire - including, as in his demo, phrases like 'Thank you Daddy'.

In the clip, which has been liked 1.5 million times, Kaan guides us through the trick, which starts with opening up the shortcuts app and selecting 'create personal automation'.

He then shows how you can programme your phone to say something whenever it is plugged in, with an option to type in whatever word or phrase your heart desires.

Kaan, who also has 220,000 followers on Instagram, explains: "Here's another iPhone trick I guarantee you didn't know about.

"Open the shortcuts app and hit 'create personal automation', hit 'charger'. Next 'add action', select 'speak text' and type in whatever you want.

"And now, whenever you charge your phone, it's gonna say whatever you programmed it to say."

To prove it works, Kaan then plugs his phone in - at which point Siri says politely: "Thank you Daddy."

Many of his fans said they'd given it a go, with some saying they'd opted for rude phrases for Siri to say.

Others went for the funnier route, with one making their device say: "Yessssss feeeeed meeeeee."

Someone else commented: "Now every time I plug my phone in it says 'pigeon meatball stir fry' and I get terrified every time."

Kaan regularly shares iPhone hacks on TikTok, as part of an ongoing series that he captions: "Another iPhone trick I guarantee you didn't know about."

He also offers finance lessons for $10 a month, saying on his IRL.com page: "Some topics that we will be going over in extreme depth are e-commerce, drop shipping, digital marketing, and stock trading.

"One of the first topics that we will be going over is how to start your own e-commerce store from scratch.

"By the end, you'll know exactly how to choose a product to sell, build a functioning website, and how to properly market it!

"Next, I'll be teaching y'all how to get into digital marketing with no money!"
