Amazon spring sale sees Apple AirTag competitor cut to half its price

It's a huge saving on the Apple alternative

Apple rules the roost when it comes to many pieces of the tech, with the Macbook and iPhone being at the top of many people's wish lists when upgrading their spec.

It's not cheap, however; its authority and brand comes with a hefty price tag.

But thanks to Amazon's Spring Deal Days, you can get one of the direct rivals to its products for half the price.

Okay, no one is doubting how handy the Apple AirTag is when it comes to tracking lost goods.

From dogs and cats to your keys or wallet, it can help find them all.

As part of Amazon's Spring Deal Days, there's a handy 17 percent saving with the price being knocked down from £35 to £29.

But even at a discount, one rival to the AirTag comes in at just over half the price.

And we're talking about the Tile Mate Bluetooth Item Finder.

Compatible with Alexa, Siri, and Google Home, it can be used on both iOS and Android devices.

It works in a very similar way to the AirTag and can be used to track lost items using Bluetooth.

And when out of Bluetooth range, yon can use the Tile app on your phone to view its most recent location on a map.

Obviously the hope here is that you go towards it and re-connect via Bluetooth, so whatever you've lost doesn't stay that way forever.

As part of the Spring Deal Days on Amazon, you can get the Tile Mate Bluetooth Item Finder with a 20 percent discount - down from £19.99 to £15.99.

The Tile Mate Bluetooth Item Finder comes with a three year non-replaceable battery. This is one downfall compared to the AirTag, which lets you replace the battery.

One benefit of the Tile Mate Bluetooth Item Finder is that it comes with a built in hook, so you can attach it to the likes of your keys without needing to buy an accessory.

One person who bought the Tile Mate Bluetooth Item Finder said in the reviews: "I bought this as a gift for my grandfather who is notorious for losing his keys and he says it saves him so much time when leaving the house and he uses it almost daily.

"I have also bought the wallet insert for him and he now never leaves the house without them.

"It has a great battery life and doesn't feel cheap at all."
