A guy has shared a video from the time he 'blagged getting off work' having pretended to faint at work so he could 'go out'. Watch below:

Twitter user @ElpedroThe2nd shared the clip online yesterday (3 June), writing: "What's the best way you've ever blagged getting off work sick?

"This is mine it was Boxing Day I was hungover and 18 and wanted to go out later so decided to pull this off made sure the manager was there as well [sic]."

In the footage, we see him working in a supermarket and speaking to a woman at the tills - his manager, apparently.

He suddenly brings his hands up to his head and holds his face, before grabbing the plastic divider next to him.

After slowly pressing a button on the till, he turns to his left and allows himself to tumble to the floor - where he lies motionless as the woman gasps.

The tweet has since gone viral, racking up more than 63,000 likes and thousands of retweets.

Replying to other Twitter users in the comments, @ElpedroThe2nd explained that everyone believed he had really fainted, and said he was 'given a free Lucozade and Galaxy bar' before being sent home.

He told another person that he knew he could fall and hit his head in a way that made it 'look real' without letting him 'actually get hurt'.

When one person asked if they ever found out the truth, he replied: "I broke the news to the woman in the video about year and half later at my pal's gaff after a few beers.

"She took it well thankfully, we all moved on so didn't get the sack.

"One of the old boys had his suspicions he was cracking up when he found out."

Sharing his top tips to another, he wrote: "Remember head first and shallow breathing for 5 minutes and don't respond to their calls you'll have that day off in no time."

As for the night out after, @ElpedroThe2nd said it was suitably messy and featured 'lots of Jägers', saying: "Felt like I had severe flu next days sweats the lot."

He added that he is self-employed now, joking: "If I fake faint it's only me who suffers."
