Far-right activist Tommy Robinson claims that he was detained at Heathrow Airport under counter-terrorism laws.
The co-founder of the England defence league (EDL), suggests that both of his phones were seized at the UK's biggest airport after he was allegedly stopped under section 3 of the Counter-Terrorism Border Security Act 2019.
Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, took to social media to complain about the likely court fees he would have to face after he was held 'for the best part of three hours', with his iPhone and Samsung Galaxy both taken.
After giving a speech in Southampton following the murder of Henry Nowak recently, which helped to drum up the concerning riots in the town despite the family's wishes for his murder to not further divide the country, Robinson has also been accused of fuelling racial tensions in Belfast.

The 43-year-old shared a graphic video of a Sudanese suspect wielding a knife over a man during an attempted murder on Monday, which also sparked apocalyptic scenes in the Northern Irish capital, while he also shared a list of planned demonstrations.
Although he's earned himself a fan in the world's richest man Elon Musk, who recently became a trillionaire, the 'investigative journalist' looks to be in trouble with the law once again, even pleading with his fans to assist him with donations towards legal fees after his latest supposed detention.
A spokesperson for Robinson posted on X: “They likely want to see who he is talking to, and maybe find out who his sources are... This is an attack on free speech, this is an attack on investigative journalism, nothing more nothing less.”

In a statement to The Sun, Met Police said: “Officers stopped a man in his 40s at Heathrow Airport at around 17:00 on Saturday, 13 June, following his return to the UK from Russia via Turkey.
“He was stopped under the provisions of Schedule 3 of the Counter Terrorism and Border Security Act 2019."
Robinson had reportedly been in Russia to meet Elon Musk's father Errol.
Unsurprisingly, this isn't Robinson's first run in with the law, as police even deployed new facial recognition technology at his controversial Unite the Kingdom protest marches in London last month.
He was previously cleared of terror charges in 2024 after being stopped by police at the Channel tunnel after refusing to pass police the pin for his phone, claiming it contained confidential journalistic material.
There was also the matter of Robinson allegedly fleeing the country last year after a man was seen unconscious in St Pancras train station, although transport police later ruled that there wasn't enough evidence to connect him with the crime.
LADbible has contacted the Met Police and Heathrow Airport for comment.
