Terrifying Dashcam Footage Shows Van Launch 12ft Into Air After Hitting Roundabout

Incredible footage shows the moment a van was launched 12ft into the air after it failed to slow down for a roundabout.

The 'Dukes of Hazzard' moment was caught by motorcyclist Andy Daynes, 35, on his helmet-cam. He was driving behind the van on the A11 at Attleborough, Norfolk, when he spotted the incident.

Andy, of Hingham, Norwich said: "I was actually on my motorbike behind him so I saw it all.

"I pulled over along with some other drivers to see if he was OK.

"He had to be cut out of the van - but he seemed to be alright, he wasn't badly injured.

"It is quite a bad roundabout, he just didn't see what was coming because he was going so fast.

"He was on his own, he had a few cuts and bruises but the ambulance came straight away and took him to hospital.

If ever there was a lesson as to why you should pay full attention when driving, this would be it.

Of course, this isn't the first time we've been treated to a Hollywood-worthy scene thanks to a motorist's dashcam.

Last month, a driver out in the Lake District captured an extremely low-flying SAS helicopter just ahead of him, appearing in the mist.

Brian Weatherall, a 45-year-old civil engineer from Durham, caught he spooky-looking footage of the low-flying chopper, which is thought to be a secret service Blue Thunder unit.

Driver Brian said: "I just couldn't believe it, I've never seen anything like it.

"I was on holiday at the time and the roads were bad so I was taking it steady on the steep hill.

"It happened about 2pm and I had the whole family in the car, it really was quite something - and a lucky escape."

Speaking afterwards, Brian said it was 'pretty awesome' to witness such an event.

He added: "It does make you feel safe when you see how our forces can fly a helicopter."

Safe? I'd have bloody shit myself, Brian.
