A giant UK theme park has released some new images as it announces a partnership with Paramount Pictures.

The London Resort, which has been dubbed 'UK Disneyland', will stretch across a 535-acre site - the equivalent to 136 Wembley stadiums - and will include hotel accommodation, a water park, two theme parks and places to eat. The images show an artist's impression of how it's all going to look when it's finally open to the public.

According to the park's website, the rides and experiences 'will take The London Resort to another level', with promises of 'brands from across literature, television, music, film and entertainment' which will be 'hand-picked to create unique experiences never previously imagined'.

Sounds good, eh?

The London Resort promises 'awe-inspiring experiences'.

The multi-billion pound park will be situated just 17 minutes from central London and will be three times the size of any other theme park in the UK.

Construction of the park is set to kick off in 2021 and it plans to be open to the public by 2024.

The London Resort already had partnerships in place with BBC Studios and ITV Studios, and yesterday (27 June) it announced Paramount Pictures had signed up.

The newly appointed chief of London Resort Company Holdings PY Gerbeau said: "The new partnership with Paramount is fantastic news for everyone. Now the best of Hollywood will be joining the best of British from BBC Studios and ITV Studios, to create amazing and unique experiences for the whole family.

"I am delighted to join The London Resort and to play my part in helping to create a world-class destination to rival all others. Central to that strategy is to partner with the best brands from across TV, film, music and entertainment. Having Paramount on board is a major step towards realising that ambition."

In a press release, the company teased a number of blockbusters associated with Paramount Pictures, including The Godfather, Mission Impossible and A Quiet Place, writing that The London Resort will be working with the movie studio 'to create a range of awe-inspiring experiences'.

While Kevin Suh, president of themed entertainment and consumer products for Paramount Pictures added: "The London Resort represents a truly global resort opportunity and we're delighted to be playing our part in bringing iconic movies to life in truly immersive experiences and rides. We're also delighted, as the most iconic studio in Hollywood, to be sharing our unparalleled catalogue of instantly recognisable films and characters."
