Christmas parties are great because it gives you a chance to let your hair down with your colleagues and reflect on the year that was.
While kids are obviously are too young to work to enjoy these little soirées, they usually get a visit from Santa to get them excited for December 25.
Well, children at a Melbourne childcare centre won't get that chance this year after the business decided to switch things up a bit.

The Kensington Community Children's Co-operative has reportedly ditched Santa for its end of year party, dubbed a 'Celebration Picnic', and instead opted to bring in a 'Sustainability Pirate' for all the kids and their parents.
A dad revealed the change after receiving an invitation for the event and told 3AW Radio host Neil Mitchel about it yesterday.
The invite read: "This year's party will be a get-together picnic and fresh food swap for children and families to celebrate the end of year. Sustainability Pirate will be attending and we will have a Nature Treasure Hunt."

The childcare centre has confirmed this is a legitimate thing and has said that it's to ensure that the event is inclusive for everyone.
But parent Kristoffer Paulsen isn't happy about the change.
He's told 7News: "If anyone has any clues about the sustainability pirate and what drugs they were taking when they came up with that, I would like to know.
"All the parents are getting on social media and getting a bit cranky about it, so obviously there are some heated opinions about Santa."

The big party is expected to be held tomorrow.
