Former CIA agent claims they know where Ark of the Covenant is after release of secret file

Major Ed Dames claims that he can locate the Ark of the Covenant with 'remote viewing'

A former Federal Agent has made a claim that he knows exactly where the Ark of the Covenant really is.

Major Ed Dames worked for the CIA as a spy throughout the 1980s and says that he knows where the biblical relic really is.

You may be familiar with the golden storage chest from films like Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark, but the real-life item has long been lost, with little to no idea about its whereabouts.

But Dames has sensationally claimed that not only does he know where it's located, but that he was part of a secret Army programme that used people known as 'remote viewers' to uncover information about distant objects or people.

Speaking to MailOnline, he shared documents that stated that he was in the Stargate project, which ran from 1977 to 1995, when it was terminated.

Dames was allegedly one of the 'remote viewers', and he helped to track down the Ark's location in the world.

He claims that it is inside the Cave of Patriarchs, which is located in Hebron, West Bank.

According to Christian, Jewish and Islamic beliefs, this is where several Biblical figures, such as Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob were buried.

It is stated in the Bible that the Ark of the Covenant was built by Israelites as a gold chest shortly after fleeing Egypt in the 13th century BC.

It's further believed that Moses placed the Ten Commandments in the chest, which historians believe was kept in the Holy of Holies, the innermost chamber in the ancient Temple of Jerusalem, but in the Babylonian sack of Jerusalem back in 586 BC, the Ark disappeared.

Dames claimed that his mind powers, which he said he taught others to use as well, guided him to 'some type of stone tunnel'.

He said he still teaches others 'remote viewing', as he uses his 'ability' to primarily search for missing children.

Speaking to the publication about searching for the Lost Ark, he recalled: "I'm inside a dark place, and I feel very insecure because there’s a feeling that I can’t describe. Never felt it before, and it scares me.

"I’m inside some type of a stone tunnel, and there’s an object, and the object is boxy and it’s heavy and dense," he explained.

"It’s dark, I’m still a little bit antsy, but I am still in control of my unconscious.

"The tangible ideas associated with the target are a boxy structure," the former CIA agent said.

He then sensed a 'holy relic' and would explore details about how it surfaced, noting it was 'biblical'.

A second remote viewing session led to him claiming that it was in the Cave of the Patriarchs, and Dames said that while part of the Stargate programme, he was assigned the biblical item as a target while training.

An apparent resurfaced CIA document reveals what was uncovered in the exercise back in 1988, which states that it is located in the Middle East.

He claims that he entered an 'altered state of consciousness' to find his target, using all five senses.

In the 90s, the LA Times reported that 'psychics' could be valuable to them, spending millions to bring them in.

There is currently no concrete evidence to suggest that the Ark ever existed, and while Dames claims it is real and it is in the West Bank, no-one is permitted to enter these ancient caves, meaning its location may never be verified.
