A YouTuber who brings in $38 million (£33 million) a year has said he feels like he's cheating the system by bringing in so much money. Watch here:

Mark Fischbach - better known as Markiplier - has more than 33 million subscribers on his YouTube channel, and is somehow managing to bring in the equivalent of a quid a year from every one of them.

Logan Paul recently asked him about his huge earnings, and he admitted it was 'stupid' that he makes so much money.

Speaking on the Impaulsive podcast, he said: "I make an ungodly amount of money, and it feels unfair.

"I'm open to talk about it because it just seems like such a cheat of the system to be able to have this much success, when really all I want to do is make content and inspire others to make content.

"But at the same time, it's something I can't deny, because to deny it would be a hypocritical thing to do."

He continued: "It's just stupid when I have what I have, and I'm able to do what I do, and I'm able to eat, have a roof over my head, able to do whatever I want, whenever I want.

"The next thing I do is give it away to people that need it, or try to invest in my friends to be able to lift them up, and hopefully they find success."

It's no secret that huge money can be made on YouTube. Just recently, MrBeast claimed he was offered a ridiculous $1 billion for his channel.

The 24-year-old American star - whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson - has a staggering 106 million subscribers, and with an audience that size, it's no surprise that he's had offers.

Speaking on the FLAGRANT podcast, he said: "There’s people, not like official term sheets, but you know like people that would actually be able to afford it.

"Like you know, ‘a billion dollars if we could own the channel and the companies’ and stuff like that. And I’m like, ‘oh that sounds enticing but I don’t know if I want to work for my YouTube channel."

To be fair, he ain't exactly struggling to make bank, as Forbes revealed in their 2021 rich list.

His reported earnings were $54 million (£39.5 million) in 2021, and with his audience still growing, there is plenty more where that came from.
