An ex-beauty pageant winner has answered the most asked question she got after she began dating her now husband, who is 40 years older than her.
Lesley Hunter, 34, is a former beauty queen and social media personality that has opened up on something that used to make her feel very awkward about her relationship.
Having won the Mrs Florida beauty pageant in 2021, the influencer has moved on to hosting a podcast called Ask the Hiring Manager, where she speaks to hiring managers in a range of industries, helping to give tips and advice to job seekers.

Despite thriving in her career, she has admitted that she felt 'embarrassed' when she started dating her husband, Vince, who is 74-years-old.
“I have to say that in the very beginning when I was dating him I was a little embarrassed. I was more sensitive to the ‘grandpa’ statements, but within a year of us dating I just thought ‘screw them’, I didn't really care anymore.”
Speaking about how people in her life were uncomfortable too, the American revealed that her mother and Vince's children had some questions, as they were older than their step-mum.
“I do understand that, if my father was with someone 40 years younger, I would probably be concerned initially, so I could completely understood what they were thinking,” the pageant winner revealed.
However, Lesley explained that people viewed her as a gold digger when she started seeing Vince, explaining that people asked: “Why are with that old man?”
“Every once a while I've heard ‘Oh you must be with him for his money.’ Those gold digger references can be annoying,” she admitted.
Vince has also spoken about their relationship, revealing on the Love Don't Judge podcast that he waited a while before proposing, as the pair dated for three years before sealing the deal.
Speaking about their meeting, he shared: “We met in Chicago at a place called Gibson's while I was singing and a beautiful lady was playing the piano. I said ‘I would love to take you out on a date. would you like to go out with me?’
“The first night we went out, we had dinner and I asked Lesley ‘Do you know how old I am?’ because it felt a little awkward, but she was comfortable and I got comfortable,” Vince added.
He also spoke about their future together, including the likelihood of kids: “The topic of children has come up,
“There are some pluses and minuses we've got to deal with, including my age obviously but it is not off the table,” he insisted.
