Man Forced To Go To Hospital After Getting Metal Nut Stuck On 'Strangulated' Penis

It's a perfectly natural thing for people to explore their bodies. It's an important step in learning what you like, what you don't like and what your limitations are for certain things.

But naturally, while some people look at limitations as big STOP signs, others look at it as more of a SLOW sign.

Whenever you're trying out something new, it's probably best to make sure what you're testing, especially if it involves toys or extra materials, work in the way you want.

That's what one man in Hong Kong will certainly tell you after he had a pretty awful encounter with a metal nut.

Last year, this unnamed man decided to use a large metal nut as a faux-penis ring in order to maintain an erection. Sadly for the 34-year-old, the nut couldn't be dislodged from the base of the man's shaft and he ended up in hospital.

By the time he was seen, he had developed a fever as well as a penis that was 'severely oedematous', aka it had a hell of a lot of fluid.

Doctors had to use a diamond disc cutter in order to get through the metal - imagine any machine that's designed to cut going near your penis?

Even more sadly for the bloke, he suffered two cuts on his Johnson during the procedure to get the nut off.

While this happened last year, the details of the patient have been revealed in the journal Urology Case Reports, where they've kindly provided uncensored photos of the penis before and after the nut was taken off. I cannot warn you enough about clicking on the link because the picture is grim.

The report said: "The penis was engorged with venous congestion. A circumferential 4 cm long superficial skin abrasion was seen around the pressure area by the metal nut, with adjacent patches of necrotic skin.

"Patient was hospitalised for five days in view of fever, and discharged with two-week course of oral antibiotics according to blood culture result. On discharge, the penile tip was well perfused with intact sensation, but a patch of ischemic skin at the site of previous strangulation remained.

"On 1 month follow up, patient reports normal voiding, and both erection and morning erections were normal. He had not yet engaged in sexual activity. On examination, there were scars over the prepuce at the site of previous strangulation."

So let this be a lesson to you: do not attempt to do things to your penis or vagina or other orifice unless you fully understand the dangers and risks and you know you can complete it.
