If you want to completely avoid that awkward dance when the bill arrives on a first date and ensure that the other party will be the one paying, this model reckons she has the perfect solution for you.

However, not every one is onboard with Sabrina Low's so called 'trick' which she claims allows her to swerve stumping up any cash, after she has gotten to know someone new over dinner and a few drinks.

The Brazilian model shared her controversial hack with her 87,500 followers on Instagram in the hopes that it would stop other people from copping the bill at the end of the night too.

She explained: "I always carry a very small bag which only fits a small lipstick. This is so I can't take a card and I don't have to split the bill."

It may be impractical, particularly for the ladies who don't travel light, but the bizarre hack apparently has a 100 percent success rate according to Sabrina.

"This is one of the best tips I can give as it has always worked for me," she added.

So, if every minuscule bag on the market suddenly sells out, you know why.

The subject of splitting the bill is quite the contentious debate, as in 2024, it's not a given that the fellas will always pick up the tab - even though Sabrina would wholeheartedly disagree.

Going Dutch seems like the most sensible way to do it, as if the date has gone badly and you have no interest in seeing them again, it's only fair that both parties share the burden of the bill.

But on the other hand, a lot of people think that the person who organised the date should automatically accept responsibility for the cost of it.

Sabrina also takes the same stance.

The model said: "At least on the first date, the obligation to pay the bill lies with the person who invited you."

She's not alone either, as even a dating coach reckons this is the way to do it.

Expert Nelly Sudri shared a TikTok video explained that she believes it 'shows you're cheap' if you ask someone out only to expect them to split the bill.

According to the relationship guru, you should make your the date is well within your budget rather than 'trying to flex' with a fancy dinner, as she says 'you're better off taking her on a picnic in the park'.
