Having thousands of women virtually falling at your feet isn't all it's cracked up to be, according to the bloke who was dubbed 'Mr Tinder'.

Stefan-Pierre Tomlin earned the nickname after becoming the 'most swiped man' on the dating app almost a decade ago.

But he later confessed that being so in-demand didn't do him a lot of favours in the romance department, as his reputation as Mr Tinder led to him attracting the wrong kind of attention.

Back in 2017, Tomlin became an overnight celebrity after it was revealed that he was the most sought after bachelor on Tinder.

During an appearance on This Morning in 2023, the handsome chap explained that he received an email from Tinder informing him he was 'one of the most fancied people on the app'.

"I thought it was some sort of practical joke," Tomlin laughed.

A whopping 14,600 women swiped right after seeing his profile - leading him to wine and dine more than 50 potential suitors, some of which led to actual relationships.

He explained that although he has always been 'quite popular with the ladies', he had struggled to find a 'proper' connection with someone.

"I was quite popular - I've done quite a few dating shows, and being a model as well, I did lots of big campaigns," Tomlin said, before detailing the impact becoming Mr Tinder had on him.

"I was a bit of a socialite, always out clubbing when I was younger...this just sort of topped everything up and it went a bit mental."

The model then kindly shared some of his top tips for standing out from the crowd on the dating app, so that other people could hopefully find the same success.

Tomlin previously told how he ended up having to mute Tinder due to his phone constantly buzzing with new matches and this only got worse when he became known as Mr Tinder.

Although his viral fame earned him even more attention from the opposite sex, the business owner and pilot said this was actually a hindrance rather than a help when he was trying to find love.

"My success with dating apps plummeted after I became Mr Tinder," he said previously. "It stopped being about connection. People were swiping on me for what I represented, not who I am."

He explained that the dates he went on with women were 'inauthentic interactions' in his eyes and he struggled to find real chemistry with anyone.

Ironically, Tomlin ended up finding his perfect match in real life rather than online.

After nine years of sifting through profiles, he ended up meeting Vicky Batsford on a night out in Soho and said the finance manager 'stole his attention straight away'.

"Everything was easy and natural," Tomlin said last year while explaining that they locked eyes at the bar before exchanging numbers, as per Vice.

Batsford said she had no idea she had been flirting with the infamous Mr Tinder and only realised who he was after Googling his name later that week.

"At first, it was a massive eye roll," she joked, before explaining that she found Tomlin 'soon swooned her over' as she found him 'incredibly interesting'.

Given his first-hand experience of the online dating world, it's no wonder that the model later set up his own matchmaking service.

His firm, Celebrity Love Coach, offered courses ranging from £45 - £120 and clients could call on the service to ‘subtly tweak’ their profiles to make them more appealing.

While appearing on This Morning, Tomlin explained he came up with the idea after a host of his friends started asking him to 'help them out' with their dating profiles.

"I started doing it for free - tips, bios, what pictures to use, what not to use," he said, before explaining that he then realised creating a business based around this could be a serious money maker.

It appears that Tomlin has now took a step back from Celebrity Love Coach to concentrate on his influencer marketing agency, CelebFluence.

These days, he is still strutting his stuff on catwalks, being paid to strike a pose in front of cameras and enjoying being a pilot.

The model recently revealed that he has been wearing wigs for the past 14 years to hide his receding hairline and announced that he underwent a hair transplant.
