Woman divides opinion after wearing white dress to her sister's wedding

She didn't even like the white dress either

If any pairs of people are known for having ridiculously petty yet super intense fights, it has to be siblings.

From fighting over inheritance to lacing milk with laxatives and even convincing your parents the other is dead, it can be rather, well, wild.

And this woman has divided the internet with what she did at her sister’s wedding.

It’s no secret that weddings can bring out the uglier sides of brides in the build-up - enter ‘bridezilla’ joke.

Now, there’s all kinds of ‘rules’ and traditions that are supposed to be followed at weddings, such as guests not wearing white. That’s a shade strictly reserved for the bride, of course.

Yet Sophie wore an off-the-shoulder white gown to watch her big sis tie the knot.

Unsurprisingly, the 21-year-old said she received a ‘big response’ to her wedding outfit as she sparked absolute controversy with the ‘rule break’.

She took to TikTok to ‘clear up’ just what actually went down in fashion town.

Sophie joked it was 'payback'.

“I wore white to my sister’s wedding as payback because…” Sophie began.

“No, I’m only joking, I didn’t but I could of. No, I was forced.

“I didn’t actually want to wear white.”

Turns out the controversial white dress was actually her bridesmaid dress. And as anyone who has landed themselves in this role (or even as a groomsmen) will know, you don’t tend to get much say in the outfit you have to spend endless hours wearing.

Sophie continued: “I didn’t wanna be wearing that – I thought I’d be wearing that on my wedding day.”

She then went on to make a dig at the dress she’d be given: “Not that exactly, like what the f**k is that? But white.”

She doesn't seem to be a fan of the dress.

After that total slam, the woman continues with a rather bizarre family story: “And on top of that, when I was younger, when we was younger, our nan fell out of a wheelchair on a wedding day, on my mum’s wedding day, and she wore white to that wedding.

“I just think it’s bad luck. So no, I wasn’t trying to wear white but that’s what she wanted.

“That’s what the bride picked. I wasn’t happy about it either.”

But as we all know, what the bride wants, the bride gets.

Now left with a rather extravagant white dress, Sophie added in the comments: “What will I ever use if for?? Now it’s just in my closet.”
