Martin Kemp and his son Roman have revealed what life in lockdown has been like, saying they've kept themselves amused by sending each other funny photos - including pictures of penises. Not their own, we should add.

Speaking to the Mirror for Father's Day, the duo spoke about how they've been staying in touch during the coronavirus pandemic, with 58-year-old Martin isolating with wife Shirlie and their daughter Harley at their Hertfordshire home, while 27-year-old son Roman has been living with partner Anne-Sophie Flury in their flat in London.

"We are no different from anyone else, we've all missed each other," Martin said.

"We call and FaceTime, and WhatsApp groups are wonderful at keeping families together."

When asked if they sent each other rude jokes, Roman replied: "Yeah, we're constantly sending each other funny things."

Laughing, Martin added: "Like pictures of willies! We have the same sense of humour."

It was at this point that Roman hastily chipped in: "Not my own willy!"

I think I speak for everyone when I say that that's a very, very big relief.

While Father's Day celebrations have been scuppered for many families this year, thanks to ongoing social distancing measures, former Spandeau Ballet bassist Martin admitted that the occasion is never a huge deal in the Kemp household anyway.

"We've never been that into it as a family," he said.

"We like big Christmases, but things like Valentine's Day and Father's Day don't mean much. I always think you should be appreciating those you love every day, not one designated day.'

Roman, who has been able to carry on hosting his Capital FM Breakfast Radio show throughout lockdown, explained that Mother's Day was usually a bigger affair.

"Mother's Day means a lot to my mum," he explained.

"So we go for lunch and make a fuss of her.

"But my dad? Not bothered. We're not traditional like that."
