After sharing her plans to begin taking Ozempic earlier this year, Amanda Bynes has revealed exactly how much weight she's lost so far.
The What a Girl Wants star, who became a household name in the 2000s, shared an update on her Instagram account about her experience using the GLP-1 medication after spotting a paparazzi picture of herself.
While Ozempic isn’t licensed as a weight loss treatment and is designed to treat those with type 2 diabetes, many users have benefited from the reported side effects of it, which include making you feel fuller for longer and therefore losing weight.
The photograph in question showed Bynes, 39, walking down a street in Los Angeles, seemingly unaware her picture was being snapped by paparazzi.

The star could be seen sporting a white Lady Gaga t-shirt paired with baggy ripped jeans and a pair of black pumps.

Bynes admitted she doesn't tend to like photographs taken of her, but after shedding some pounds, she doesn't mind the snaps so much and finds them 'inspiring'.
"I usually don't like paparazzi pictures bc I was 180lbs but now I've lost 28lbs on Ozempic! I'm down to 152lbs," she told her followers.
She added: "I know I still look big but this photo is really inspiring to me!"
Bynes has been keeping her followers updated with her weight loss progress in recent months.
Back in November, she said she'd lost '20 pounds so far', adding: "I'm so excited about that, to be honest. Also, I want to lose about 50 more pounds."
Bynes said she'd initially seen the scales go up after taking Ozempic but she soon saw progress and her weight loss started, helping her to obtain her goal of feeling 'skinny and cute'.
She first shared her plans to take the drug to aid her weight loss in an Instagram video in June.

"Oh, I'm going on Ozempic. So excited. I'm 173 now so I hope to get down to like 130, which would be awesome so I look better in paparazzi pictures," Bynes said at the time.
She vowed to talk about her experience with the medication, which has grown in popularity over the past year in both the UK and US.
Bynes has been open about her body image struggles as well as her mental health woes in recent years.
The Nickelodeon star spent time at a number of different mental health facilities, and she's also had run-ins with the law, including two alleged hit-and-runs and even allegedly starting a fire in a stranger's driveway.
She also went through a nine-year period where her parents served as her conservators, as they managed her financial affairs, however, this ended in 2022.
