Jeremy Clarkson has spoken out about why he sold his £85,000 Lamborghini tractor less than a year after buying it.
The newest season of Clarkson’s Farm focused predominantly on his plights in opening a pub, something which he deemed a ‘disaster’ after he faced various issues and multiple staff quit.
Despite this - there is still a large focus on the farming in season four, with one episode predominantly dedicated to Clarkson buying a new tractor.

In the face of criticism of his old Lambo tractor from Kaleb Cooper, Clarkson goes out and test drives several new options… before ultimately deciding to just buy another more up to date model.
After boasting about its 48 gears, 188 buttons, and 340 horsepower, he revealed he had spent a whopping £85,000 on it.

The presenter was found to have this week sold it however, making a major loss in the process.
Clarkson sold the £85,000 tractor for £70,500, making an almost £15,000 loss.

This left a number of viewers of the TV show questioning why he sold it on so soon after buying, less than a year on.
Several had theories, with one commenting on the news on Reddit, saying: “Is it maybe because it’s just way too difficult to operate?
“And most likely overkill, however he needed the horsepower for plowing in wet weather.”
The Clarkson’s Farm and Top Gear star has now opened up about what spurred his decision and it’s far more simple than many were likely thinking.
A fan quoted LADbible’s post on X, asking Clarkson what had caused him to sell the tractor.
They said: “You had to let the beast go? No way?! Dude, what happened?”

Clarkson responded, stating quite simply: “I’m starting to understand that when it comes to farming, you have to be sensible.
“Took a big financial hit on that tractor as well.”
It seems that, after four seasons of filming the show, he is finally listening to Cooper regarding the unnecessary horsepower of his Lambo tractor.

Clarkson’s sale of the Lambo therefore will likely be a plot point in the fifth season of the show, which may end up being the last.

The presenter has confirmed that he is set to take a hiatus from filming after the upcoming season, citing the busy schedule of filming everyone involved had undertaken.
He said in an interview with The Times earlier this year: “I’d do a sixth if there was a reason for doing it, like a bloody good story.
“Whatever happens we’ll definitely take a short break as the crews are all worn out.
“We’ve been filming here two or three days a week, every week, for five years. Everybody could do with a rest.”
Clarkson’s Farm is available to watch on Prime Video now.
