Would you be surprised to find out that one of the most famous bodybuilders can only obtain a four-pack instead of the widely desired six-pack?

Well, it’s true!

Austrian bodybuilder and former Governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger has always been known for his physique, donning his muscular body in roles such as Predator, Hercules, Total Recall and Terminator.

So why is it such a shock that he doesn’t have a six-pack, and instead has the lesser known four-pack?

Mandela Effect or not, Schwarzenegger could definitely be sporting two abdominal rows, and there could be a scientific reason why this happens - no matter how much you train.

According to The Bullet Report, your fascia is a connective tissue determines the number of packs you’ll have.

This means that the more fascia, the more packs you’ll ultimately have.

Though Schwarzenegger has two rows that are prominent, if you look really closely, you can see what looks to be a less noticeable third row below.

As it turns out, the issue of the actor’s abs is quite a popular topic, as people want to know whether he has a four-pack or a six-pack and the reason why this would happen.

Surely, if someone as muscular as Schwarzenegger could only have a four-pack, it would help others to come to terms with their own.

Reddit user Flares117, started a thread in the 'Today I Learned' section, opening a discussion about the bodybuilder’s abs through sharing a Healthline story which claims that Schwarzenegger does in fact have a four-pack and the amount of abs you can achieve is determined by genetics.

They wrote: “TIL: The amount of abs you can attain is purely determined by genetics. While 6 packs are the most common, some bodybuilders such as Schwarzenegger can only attain a 4 pack. This is due to humans being born with different amounts of fascia bands. The most you can have is a 10 pack, which is rare.”

According to the Healthline article, genetics determine the amount of fascia tissue you’re born with.

For example, if you were born with three rows, the amount of abs you could ever obtain is six as you can’t build additional ones.

The publication went on to explain that genetics also dictate the symmetry, length, and size of your abs, so no matter how hard you try, you are predetermined to look a certain way in that region.
