Rapper Travis Scott has deleted his Instagram, and it's got everyone wondering whether it's because of the amount of criticism that he received for his Batman Halloween costume the other day.

Scott dressed himself up in what looks like an incredibly expensive brown Batman suit to pose in front of his cars, but the folks on the internet were less than kind - for a change - about the 'Sicko Mode' musician's seasonal get-up.

Now, he's got rid of his Instagram account, and we can only wonder whether the two things are linked or not.

One thing we can be sure of is that the 29-year-old's profile is definitely gone, along with his hordes of fans and followers on there.

Maybe he's just got some other reason for it - we all need to take a break from social media and put the phone down for a bit sometimes, don't we?

It's worth pointing out that some people were comparing him to a cockroach, or calling him 'roachman', which has some racist connotations, so that might have played a part in it.

Of course, it's obviously horrible and wrong if some of the people responding were being racist.

However, some of the other comments were actually quite funny.

One person called him 'UPS Batman' because the colour scheme of his costume did resemble one of the brown outfits of the delivery firm quite a bit.

Another compared him to the Flea from the animated show ¡Mucha Lucha!

When you look at the two characters, you can kinda see that comparison as well.

Another critic wrote: "Travis Scott is drowning in millions of dollars right now and he couldn't get a good Batman costume smh."

Yet another added: "Travis Scott made batman swaggerless can somebody explain how to class on how he's not one of the worst things to come to hip hop?"

Wow, tell us what you really think, why don't you? I mean, it's not that bad, is it?

It looks better in the shadows.

Anyway, it's an inescapable fact that people are going to be a***holes on the internet at every possible opportunity, it's as unchanging as the cycle of the days.

Despite that, it's unlikely that Travis will be away from the internet for too long. He's rumoured to have some new music out soon, and he'll likely return to plug that once the heat has died down - or once he's worked out whatever unrelated stuff may have actually led him to get rid of his account.

Let's hope he enjoys his time offline, we could all use that sometimes.
