Filming is well under way for series six of Peaky Blinders, and it looks like things could be getting tough for Tommy Shelby's right-hand man Arthur. That's what fans are worried about anyway, with many expressing concern for the character (played by Paul Anderson) after recent shots from the set showed him looking seemingly worse for wear.
Although smartly dressed as ever - in a dark coat, grey waistcoat and trousers, complete with bow tie and white shirt - many fans were quick to point out that Shelby was looking somewhat ropey in the behind-the-scenes images, taken from the set in Castlefield, Manchester.

The photos from the set were posted on Facebook, where many people were quick to point out how much older he looked than in season five.
In one image, Anderson is seen portraying Shelby in front of a camera man, with his back turned from a carriage and looking somewhat older than we remember him. One person asked: "Why is Arthur looking like a fossil?"
They were backed up by others, with one saying: "Arthur looking a bit wrinkled."

Another added: "Christ, Arthur has had better days."
While a fourth said: "Arthur looking quite old here, I'm sure the bloke who plays him doesn't have half as many wrinkles."
Among other notable distinctions was Shelby's new haircut, with one image showing the character with his back to the camera and facing Lizzie Stark, who's sitting in a car.

The picture shows the character rocking a ginger rinse but with shaven back and sides - a look that did not go down universally well with the Peaky Blinders faithful.
"Arthur's had a lockdown haircut," one person pointed out, as another claimed the 'do was 'horrendous'. Ouch.
Another image shows him looking gaunt and unhappy as the sunlight shines on him. What could his dishevelled appearance mean for the character in the new series, though? Fans had some theories around that too.

"Arthur's not looking happy," said one.
Another predicted: "Somebody's going to get it by the look of his face."
Admittedly these aren't the most insightful predictions for what might be going on, but one fan had a slightly more rounded theory, saying: "I think Arthur has a sickness in this new season, looks like Paul Anderson has lost some weight for it."
Whatever it means, it's clear that the character is set to go through some strife in the forthcoming season.

When we'll get to see that is unclear though. With filming currently taking place, it might not be any time soon, with forecasts ranging from later this year to early 2022.
Whenever it ends up being, though, we too worry for the health of Arthur Shelby.
